Today is Peter DeWolf's birthday.
If you don't know about him, well, you're missing out, cuz he's kinda a big deal.
Peter my dear, I wish you the happiest of birthdays, and not just because you happen to be born during NaBloPoMonkeyOnMyBack, thus providing me with blog fodder.
(But mainly because of that.)
(Just kidding. Mainly because you're cute.)
(And your narcissism rivals only mine. And I appreciate that in a person. Just not TOO many people.)
Anyhoodle.
Here is a poem for you.
Ode to Peter DeWolf
Once upon a website
There was a blogger named Peter.
He lived far away in a fictional place
Where distance is measured by meter.
Popular with the ladies
Was this handsome fella,
And a not-too-shabby writer
You should read his novella.
He's the king of sexy word doodles,
Scruffy stubble and a ball cap,
But underneath that wit and snark
Lies a sweetly romantic sap.
Although, by far his best trait,
REALLY worthy of lovin'?
The adorable boy he becomes
Around his niece and his cousin.
So happy birthday to Peter!
I wish him all the best,
And I know I suck at rhyming
So I'm going to give it a rest.
***
Happy Birthday, Peter!!!
Hope you like your poem. My birthday is in April.
(Just FYI.)
(You know, in case you wanted to start working on a post for me.)

That was AWESOME.
I didn't even know that poems could rhyme!
Thanks so much, lady.
'Distance measured by meter'
HA! Is that just because you couldn't find anything to rhyme with 'acorn'?
Love it and LOVE Peter! I read him daily!
