The neverending birthday.

I've officially survived the few days of twenty-seven.

Thank you everyone for your support.

Since my husband and family pretty much knew that this birthday was bumming me out, I might or might not have gotten a bunch of presents to try and lure me out of my birthday funk.

Including, from my wonderful husband, this beautiful Coach bag:

Isn't it lovely? You can't tell from the picture, but it's actually quite large, which clearly, is a necessity since I like to carry around a bunch of crap.

And he picked it out all by himself!

(Allegedly.)

My mom decided to get me a bunch of little things, since according to her I am "the girl who has everything."

(Allegedly.)

Some of her pretty gifties:

a business card holder
and a compact

this laptop desk

and some pajamas and jeans.

Plus, the absolute necessity: The Birthday Pedicure.

On Tuesday night, my mom and my in-laws and Hubs and his brother took me to dinner at...

And everyone made fun of me.

"Out of all the restaurants in San Diego, you pick THE RED LOBSTER??"

(You have to put "the" in front of it. It just sounds better.)

But I love it. I love the cheesy biscuit goodness. I love the salt-rubbed baked potatoes. I love the sweet snow crab legs. Sue me. I know it's not fancy. But sometimes, a girl just wants to sit down, get her hands dirty, and eat some reasonably priced crab.

(However, I do not enjoy the lobster tank in the waiting area. It makes me tear up a little. I don't like seeing my food alive before I eat it. Therefore, I do not order lobster at The Red Lobster.)

My in laws gave me this:

and this

and best of all, a Steve Madden gift card.

All in all, it was a pretty good birthday. Even though it was my twenty-seventh.

Le sigh.

(P.S. I linked all my goodies, in case anyone wants to check this stuff out!)

I have eaten my weight in cheesy rolls at Red Lobster more times than I can count. Rock on.

I hung out with Jamie Kaler last year on Valentine's Day, and he was telling us about how he went to this restaurant that had a lobster tank so you could pick out your own lobster, but it had a CLAW like one of those crane-toy-grabbing machines, so you could GRAB your own lobster!!! (Suh-weet.)

But the girl he was with was some crazy vegetarian (silly veg heads!), and she kept telling him to Free the Lobsters! And she actually cried when he wouldn't. Yay!

Anyway, glad you had fun and got some good stuff... and can't wait til Saturday!!! :)

Aw sounds like a fabulous birthday with lots of great presents (I'm sort of jealous, haha). And the Red Lobster is totally legit and seriously delicious! :)

My favorite "special event" restaurant used to be Sizzler, so I'm with ya.

I found you on Free and Flawed, and since we share a name, I just had to say hi! I'll be turning 27 in June, so we're not that far apart in age, and I too love Red Lobster :) So happy belated birthday...looks like you got some great loot!

Ooh! I love the Coach bag. You got tons of great gifts and don't worry about being 27, it's much more fun than 26.
