My name is Tia.
This is my blog.
It started out as a lark. Since then it's been a lot of things. Sometimes it's a responsibility, sometimes it's an opportunity. Some days I have nothing to say, and some days I can't type fast enough to get it all out.
In my day job, I'm a hairstylist. I love it but every once in awhile I wish I'd stayed in college. Then I remember that 1) my unfinished Creative Writing/English degree meant I was essentially majoring in living in a cardboard box, 2) I can write this blog for free, and 3) that while I do have debt, none of it is in the student-loan-type form.
(And then I go buy something I don't need. You can call it frivolous, but I call it "stimulating the economy in these tough times.")
I talk about my husband here a lot. I call him Hubs. He's amazing, stubborn, generous, and ridiculously patient, because I'm no walk in the park. We've been married for almost three years. It's not always pretty, but he makes me happy for the better part of every day. I don't think you can ask for more than that.
(Well, you CAN, but then you're just being greedy.)
Since this is my blog, I do what I want. That includes, but is not limited to, the zealous overuse of parentheses, rampant vampire fandom, and lots of reality TV commentary. Aside from that, I like to throw in random bits of melodramatic poetry, Hubs shenanigans, and anything else I find interesting. It's eclectic up in here, yo.
I've been lucky enough to acquire a fabulous bunch of readers. The fact that my mom isn't the only person who reads my blog still amazes me on the daily.
(Seriously. I'm not that interesting. But I do have great hair.)
(Just kidding. I'm actually fascinating. My hair is just a bonus.)
